Massage Therapy

Our Massage Therapy Diploma Program teaches you the important skills and knowledge required to succeed in the healthcare and/or spa industries.  Massage Therapists play an important role within the healthcare industry, assessing clients by conducting range of motion and muscles tests, proposing treatment plans and administering massage techniques. In the spa industry, they are key members of the client’s beauty and relaxation experience. Graduates can find long-term employment in private practice, hospitals, private clinics, extended care facilities, spas, resorts and many more.

During the diploma program, you’ll learn all about Regional Anatomy, Palpation, Massage Theory and Techniques, Orthopaedic Assessments, Anatomy and Physiology, Hydrotherapy, Human Relations, Ethics, Neurophysiology, Pathology, and the physiology of all the human body systems.

You’ll also complete a practicum in the Medix College Student Massage Clinic, under the supervision of Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs). Our community outreach program also gives students the opportunity to put their skills into practice at a number of different community events, such as marathons, open houses and more.
