Community Service Worker

Our Community Service Worker Diploma Program uses small class sizes, group work, an off-site practicum, practice interviews and exercises in self-awareness to give you the well-rounded education you need to succeed in your new career.

Among the topics covered in the program are First Aid/CPR, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Substance Use, Psychology and Report Writing. Successful graduates of our diploma program have found employment in a number of areas, including community agencies, residential facilities, mental health agencies, adult and youth group homes, addiction treatment centres and correctional facilities.

An off-site practicum gives you first-hand experience in the industry and allows you to begin putting into practice everything you’ve learned. Upon completing the program and fulfilling their requirements, you’ll be able to apply for membership as a Certified Community Service Worker through the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC).
